The option of home bleaching is an optional cost-effective alternative to bleaching and produces very good results. It involves the patient actively whitening the teeth at home and may take 2-4 weeks for a complete course of treatment. The consultation appointment is an excellent opportunity to discuss your needs and what system would suit you best.

White fillings:

White fillings are now available for both front and back teeth. Modem technology means that these fillings can be placed quickly and comfortably, and are matched to be the same colour as your own teeth. The modern materials used give a better seal to the tooth making them longer lasting.

The fillings set instantly, meaning no more waiting for fillings to set when you leave the dentist. White fillings mean no more metal fillings showing when you smile.

At our practice, we use one of the best materials which allows excellent characterization of teeth so that the filling closely matches your natural teeth.

The type of filling material used will vary with each case. Where aesthetics is important, a white composite resin filling may be used. For larger cavities where strength and longevity is essential, the Cerec 3D porcelain milling machine allows strong and durable porcelain restorations to be placed in one visit. Many patients may still have amalgam (silver) fillings, and if these are unsightly they may be replaced with tooth coloured restorations.
