During my elective, I undertook a research project evaluating the Swedish caries removal product Carisolv. This in-vitro study involved critically reviewing the product by means of a biochemical analysis of the collagen left in the residual dentine of carious teeth after Carisolv application. The research was performed in the Dental Teaching Hospital in Kiel, Germany.
