Dental Implants
Implants are used for replacing either a single missing tooth or they can be used to replace a number of missing teeth.
The current systems in use should allow us to replace teeth to match the natural teeth very closely. The procedure involves two stages: The surgical placement of the implant in the jaw. This is carried out with local anaesthetic. New teeth can be made after 2-3 months after the placement of the implants.
In certain situations teeth can be replaced immediately with dental implants. The initial consultation for dental implants will involve a thorough examination and taking x-rays to evaluate the bone suitability.
In most cases, implants are an ideal choice for replacement of missing teeth. This is true whether you have a single tooth missing, or all of your teeth are missing. Implants can transform the lives of people who wear false teeth. There is no need to place one implant per tooth. In fact, six implants are adequate to replace most teeth in each jaw.
